Sorry, no picture yet. I have one picture that the doctor printed, but the scanner doesn’t work with my laptop, so it may be a while before I get the picture online. Last time I pulled some screen shots from the DVD, but I can’t do that this time. I can’t watch the DVD because I might figure out the sex of the baby. The doctor had us turn away when he did the leg measurements, just in case it became obvious. And he said that it was obvious to him, and if we knew what to look for it would be obvious to us too if we watched the DVD. Soooo, we are not watching the DVD, and thus, I cannot create screenshots to post online.
The ultrasound was really neat for us, but the baby didn’t like it. He/she was moving around alot and punched the ultrasound wand a time or two. The doctor would focus in on something, and the baby would move away, lol. All that movement made me realize what the baby movements feel like – when the baby punched or kicked on the screen, I could feel it in my belly. Prior to seeing the baby on the screen, I just thought those movements were my stomach gurgling or something. Now I know what it is, which is pretty cool. The baby also had hiccups for a period and that was interesting. We reviewed all the major internal organs, and everything looks really great.
The doctor said that I have an anterior placenta and at this point its pretty close to my cervix, nearly placenta previa. But, he said not to worry because it will most likely move higher as my uterus grows. After reading about the condition, it would be silly for me to worry because 90% of people diagnosed with previa in the 2nd trimester no longer have placenta previa later in pregnancy. And I don’t even have it – its just close, so it shouldn’t be an issue. The only reason he mentioned it at all is because I asked where my placenta was.
I guess that is about all the news… Oh yeah, and I gained 6 more lbs from the last visit. I really don’t think that is entirely possibly – it has only been three weeks. I don’t eat THAT much to gain 2 lbs per week. That makes my weight gain 12 lbs total, but I am expecting that its some sort of anomaly.

Ahhh! So exciting! isn't it amazing to see what is going on in there? And finally getting to say.. oh, so that's what I've been feeling. ha. I'm so glad Baby Head looks great and everything is progressing along smoothly. I can not wait to see your little baby when you get the chance to post the picture! That is so funny the baby didn't like the ultrasound. He/She was probably like.. get that THAN-GG away from me! So exciting!
Sofia's movements have defiantly gotten stronger and more frequent than before.. and the amazing thing, its all happened in just a few days. Her heartbeat was 155 today and my Dr. has started measuring my belly with her tape measure. She wasn't doing that before. I guess, I've hit some type of milestone. ha. And don't worry.. when I stepped on the scale today, I seriously cringed. I couldn't believe my eyes. I was surprised the scale didn't say.. OUCH when I stepped on. Geez.. :0(
omg brandi! i got all teary eyed reading this, i'm so excited! if i was still around everyday i think i would start to annoy the heck out of you
