our favorites

June 30, 2009

Allie and I picked out some of our favorites in color from my little snapshot session with Ethan yesterday morning.

This is the moment he sat up in bed… so confused… so unhappy… he is not a morning person
Nothing better than waking up with a camera in your face

Nope, not a morning person at all… Trying to go to sleep again

Well, OK but hand me my computer and let me check my email first

morning with Ethan

June 30, 2009

I went in the room to get a picture of Ethan sleeping with his butt in the air and he woke up when I walked in the room. He’s so cute in the mornings, I thought I’d take a few snapshots. And apparently he is an email junkie like his mommy and must check his email ASAP. Email cheers him up in the morning.

Upgrading

June 10, 2009

I am upgrading the hosting services for my blog today. The site shouldn’t go down, but you might have trouble leaving comments. Everything should be back to normal within 24 hours. Once the upgrade is complete, I am going to look into changing some things on the blog.

Weight Check

June 10, 2009

Ethan had a followup appointment with his pediatrician on Friday. He gained about a pound over the last month! YAY! He’s now up to 22 lbs. We didn’t measure his height because he was being an uncooperative turd. The doctor wants us to keep doing what we’re doing and go back in a month for a weight check.

As long as he keeps gaining something, we are not concerned about his weight anymore. We started giving him a high calorie pediatric drink every day and that helped him gain weight. I counted his calories for the first week and based on those numbers, I guestimated his calories for the remaining time of our experiment. On a great day, he’d consume about 1800 calories. On a really bad day, about 500. On an average day, somewhere around 1100. The pediatric drink adds about 250 calories per day, so it appears that he just wasn’t consuming enough prior to adding that supplement.

Hopefully he continues on the right track and we can put all of this behind us. And maybe find something else to worry about :)
